An 'Electric-fying' Experience

Now that back-to-school shopping is behind you, you should probably start thinking about what you’re going to buy for Christmas. This year, most of us will be shopping on a budget, but that doesn’t mean you have to buy inferior gifts. In fact, you CAN buy great Christmas gifts for less than you might think.

You may already know that everyone on your gift list is suited for some kind of personal electronic item. Because we live in the age of technology, there’s always something everyone wants. The problem is that most brick-and-mortar electronic stores charge too much for too little. Whether your nephew wants a new iPod, your aunt wants a mini DVD player, or your wife longs for a handheld camcorder, there’s an electronic gadget that was made for everyone you love. Just be sure to do your shopping online!
The beauty of shopping electronics for Christmas this year is that even if you have no idea what the person on your list might want, you can still find something great and practical that he or she will not only love, but use almost daily. When it comes to Christmas, you can’t go wrong with electronics. And when it comes to buying anything, you can’t go wrong shopping online
Even if your common practice is to shop last minute for Christmas gifts, as long as you shop online, you will get a great deal and can usually have your item well before the big day. Once, you’ve determined that you’re going to shop online for electronics; all you need to do is narrow down the list and determine who is going to have what under the tree this year.

Have you considered that your grandmother would probably enjoy a digital picture frame that has been loaded with her favorite family photos? Your brother would probably flip over a GPS system. Even that acquaintance or little known co-worker whose name you drew this year will love an electronic gizmo!
There’s no time like the present to get start your Christmas shopping. In fact, getting your shopping done early is a great money savingtechnique! Don’t spend another holiday season running from store to store looking for something that might be right and shop on the internet to find the perfect gift you KNOW your recipient will love!

The Mysterious Past of the MP3 Player

It’s no big surprise that we all love MP3 players and iPods, and all those other personal music gadgets. This is true because, well, we all love music! But we bet you’ve never wondered where the ideas for all these great gadgets come from. We’ve decided to launch a series of posts that is dedicated to the inventors and history of all the popular electronics we use on a daily basis.

For our first selection, the MP3 player! According to a report by Mary Bellis (an amateur inventor) the father of the MP3 player is German company Fraunhofer-Gesellshaft. She writes, “The German company Fraunhofer-Gesellshaft developed MP3 technology and now licenses the patent rights to the audio compression technology - United States Patent 5,579,430 for a "digital encoding process". The inventors named on the MP3 patent are Bernhard Grill, Karl-Heinz Brandenburg, Thomas Sporer, Bernd Kurten, and Ernst Eberlein.”
During an extensive interview with researchers from Intel, Karlheinz Brandenburg spoke of the MP3 taking several years to completely develop and he added that the invention itself almost failed to become a reality. Brandenburg added "In 1991, the project almost died. During modification tests, the encoding simply did not want to work properly. Two days before submission of the first version of the MP3 codec, we found the compiler error."
We also compiled this list from the “timeline” of the MP3 Player
· 1987 - The Fraunhofer Institut in Germany began research code-named EUREKA project EU147, Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB).
· January 1988 - Moving Picture Experts Group or MPEG was established as a subcommittee of the International Standards Organization/International Electrotechnical Commission or ISO/IEC.
· April 1989 - Fraunhofer received a German patent for MP3.
· 1992 - Fraunhofer's and Dieter Seitzer’s audio coding algorithm was integrated into MPEG-1.
· 1993 - MPEG-1 standard published.
· 1994 - MPEG-2 developed and published a year later.
· November 26, 1996 - United States patent issued for MP3.
· September 1998 - Fraunhofer started to enforce their patent rights. All developers of MP3 encoders or rippers and decoders/players now have to pay a licensing fee to Fraunhofer.
· February 1999 - A record company called SubPop is the first to distribute music tracks in the MP3 format.
· 1999 - Portable MP3 players appear.
No matter how you feel about popular electronics, you have to appreciate the dedication and time it takes to develop such stellar products. Special thanks to the inventors of the MP3 player (we know we’ve all benefited) and because we believe in giving credit where it’s due, thanks to Bellis and Sundasim for extending their research!

Shop for Electronic Gifts Online

One of the most popular gift is electronic gadgetry. Getting electronics for any holiday, birthday, or other special occasion is always popular, because modern technology always makes for useful, practical, but also fun gift. Unfortunately, the price of electronics is not getting any cheaper. As such, one of the best ways to ensure that you get the most bang for your buck when it comes to an electronic gift giving purchase is to shop online for high-quality retail.

Once you’ve decided to shop online for your electronic gifts, your next challenge will be to pinpoint the ideal gift for your recipient. There are a wide variety of electronic options that will appeal to both men and women. However, if you plan to purchase specialized gift, shopping online is a great way to see all of the electronic dance that are popular among the male population and, on the flip side, is a great way to view all the gifts that are popular with women.

You’ll find that shopping a wide selection will allow you to choose the perfect product for your gift recipient. Whether you’re looking for cell phone or an MP3 player, an online selection will allow you to choose from several different brands and several different models of the same product so that you can pinpoint the perfect gift.

Shopping for electronics online becomes a much easier way to comparison shop. Why? Because when you shop online, you can see a larger selection of products laid out side by side and research their components and their characteristics to compare contrast against one another.

Another important factor to consider when shopping online is a convenient for shipping. If you’re planning to send get long-distance, why not eliminate postal charges by having the item you order shipped directly to your gift recipient? Believe it or not, shopping online and having orders shipped is cheaper than shopping in a tangible store and mailing the items yourself.

Get a New Toy Without Going Broke

We all love getting a new gadget. Whether it’s a cell phone, a laptop, an iPod, or some other gadget, there’s a certain joy associated with every gizmo. Sadly, with today’s failing economy, we get very few chances to enjoy the purchase of a new electronic toy. However, it is possible to get that rush, and enjoy the convenience of our many technological advances without spending a fortune.

Some retailers employ very talented buyers whose sole purpose is to find and purchase
name brand electronics at the cheapest costs possible. The retailers for whom these buyers work will then pass those savings on to you. The reason for this ‘wholesale’ approach is to ensure that you are a return customer. Online retailers who specialize in these specialty wholesale products are successful because they continually provide customers with excellent savings. They aren’t greedy and they are contented with a very minor profit. For this reason, they are the ideal choice for consumers seeking a good deal on name brand electronics.

For this reason, it’s safe to say your best bet for enjoying a new electronic device and saving quite a bit of money in the process is to shop online at specific retailers. Yes, shopping online is a great way to save money no matter how you slice it, but it’s important to note that shopping online at just any ol' store simply won’t help. In order to save the maximum amount of money on your electronics purchase, you must shop at the RIGHT online store.

It’s important that you’re very careful and very specific when selecting an
online electronics retailer. Only shop with companies who have a proven successful track record and who are willing to provide you with optimal customer service. You will find that companies seeking to rip you off are less inclined to answer questions about given products and aren’t willing to share much information concerning their company’s history.

There is a wide variety of online resources to review the feedback concerning your vendor of choice. It’s also a good idea to visit the company’s home page and review any information of value thereon. If you’re willing to do a little homework before you buy, you can end up saving a decent sum of money on a number of
name brand electronics.

Remember, just because you’re buying the latest thing in cell phones, cameras, music, video, does NOT mean you have to spend a fortune!

Where To Find Discounts On Electronics

I bought my wife the Mustek 9.5” digital photo frame from Electronics 2 Treasure.com for a mother’s day surprise. Electronics 2 Treasure.com has brand name home electronics at discount prices. There were several different styles and sizes to choose from, so I picked the one that I knew my wife would think looks the best on her desk at work. I spent a couple of hours picking out family photos (mainly of our kids) to load into the frame. The look on her face on mother’s day morning was priceless, and that picture is now on the frame also. I got such a good deal from Electronics 2 Treasure.com that I have already decided to buy the Axion 1.1" Mini Keychain Style Digital Photo Frame for her birthday next month.

I had bought a digital camera for the family last Christmas. We were so happy with the camera that we have decided to make all of our electronic purchases there. Right now we are thinking of buying the Toshiba Regza Cinema Series 46XV545U 46” LCD TV for our family room. With a savings of 15 percent, we can’t find a better deal anywhere on that or a comparable model anywhere. The big question is whether or not my wife is going to let me get the home DVD player that would go nicely with the TV. I have not found better deals on brand name home electronics at discount prices than at Electronics2treasure.

I have also found a couple a video games for the boys; believe me they are not shy about telling us exactly what they want for their birthdays. There are a couple of portable DVD players that I have my eye on. I hope my wife has taken the hint from me about the boring flights that I have to make for my business trips. One of these would really help pass the time on the plane not to mention the lonely stays in the hotels half way across the country. My whole family loves finding brand name home electronics at discount prices and we love the deals at Electronics2treasure.

Electronics 2 Treasure.com has been my electronic shopping store since I first used their site late last summer. When my wife needed a new laptop while working on her masters in business this is the place where we bought it through Electronics 2 Treasure.com. The shipping is always reasonable and their customer service is second to none. They always ship using UPS, so you know your order is easy to track. I will always purchase my brand name electronics at discount prices from Electronics2treasure.

The Best Prices and Selection of Home Electronics

I have been looking for the perfect birthday gift for my daughter, the budding photographer.  She had been hinting for months that she would really enjoy getting a camera and related camera equipment for many months.  I had been shopping around for months, visiting the local merchandise stores, checking camera shops and searching online for the perfect camera to make her birthday wish come true.  I found brand name home electronics at discount prices at Electronics2Treasure, and to my surprise, I also found the perfect camera.

Next on my list is Father's Day,which is right around the corner.   I have to find the perfect gifts for my husband and father.  They are both electronics buffs and would enjoy a wide variety of  gifts available at Electronics2Treasure.  I found a Samsonic 2G MP3 player, an 8 GB Zune Digital Multimedia Device along with an accessories kit, a Coby 1 GB LCD MP3 player with touchpad and speakers.  I found so many brand-name home electronics at discount prices, I was able to order exactly what they have on their list and I save considerably over what I would have spent at a department store.

My next major purchase is going to be something special for my own upcoming birthday. I have been eyeing certain electronics devices and thinking about how much fun it would be to have a few of my own.  I have on my list of things to get a Coby Electronics CX-71 Mini AM-FM pocket radio tuner, a Black Forest Cuckoo Clock and an HP Business Desktop Computer.  I have a feeling with so many brand-name home electronics at discount prices available at Electronics2Treasure, I can get exactly what I want for a reasonable price.

I am so proud of all the brand-name home electronics at discount prices I have found at Electronics2Treasure, I recommend the site to all of my friends and family.  The selection is great, the prices are reasonable and the customer service I have experienced keeps me coming back time and again.  I find myself searching for even the smallest electronics at the site because they have always had everything I need; I have never been able to get electronics so cheaply all at one place.  I hate standing in line at a department store, I hate waiting on a rain-check when other stores do not have what I need, which is why Electronics2treasure is the store for me.

Buying Electronics Online

Everybody has heard the television system is in transition, but does the average person understand what is really going on behind the scene in this digital era? Most likely it seems to the consumer that things are changing but the understanding of why is not obvious. HDTV is a buzz word to most people and it means a good TV picture, but nothing more.

Digital TVs can receive and display television broadcasts that are sent using one of eighteen digital signal methods. HDTV is really called High Definition TV, but did you know there are about 17 types of signals sent out to the TV. If a person doesn’t have HDTV they can still get the signals, but you won’t have the best quality image that can be produced.

All televisions build in the past are equipped to receive analog signals. The analog system was developed over 50 years ago so all televisions produced were designed to receive the analog signals. As the move to switch the signal type from analog to digital is upon us, a person with an older television set will need to get a box to place between the signal and the television set in order to convert the signal to the correct format. The box you will need is called a digital-to-analog converter. The problem is that the converter box will not always yield the best possible results depending on what type of signal your TV is set up to receive.

The simplest way to talk about HDTV formats is to talk about how the signal will display on your TV screen in a way that is understandable. The signal being broadcast boils down to how many lines of image will fit on your screen and the method in which the signal is displayed on your TV. As a consumer you will have the choice of 480 lines of display all the way up to 720 lines of display. Add to that the fact that an HDTV will progressively scan the images or lines to insure a quality picture and that is where the HDTV will out perform other types of televisions.
So to sum up this whole conversion process from analog to digital, it boils down to resolution formats and your ability to see the image on the TV screen in its best possible clarity. If you are into your TV programs and quality is an issue you will want to upgrade your set.
